FOlks I also have this mic
With the compact am i going to get any more feedback or hiss from a condenser than i would with a dynamic mic thru channel one? I would imagine you would not have the volume past 12 oclock with a condenser? edit: Expanded title, previously "AKG c535" This message has been edited. Last edited by: Forum-Admin, |

Hi John,
The Compact microphone line does not have phantom power. I really like my AKG C535 and I have been using with with an external phantom power supply***. It sounds great. I don't find that this is any more prone to feedback or hiss than the dynamic microphones I have here. It is difficult to say that any particular setting (e.g. 12:00 o'clock) will or will not work. This has to do with the distance between the microphone and the Compact, and a host of other variables like how you have positioned the microphone and room acoustics and and and... *** I was just experimenting to see how it worked; using a battery powered phantom power supply. I was very pleased with the results. In most performance situations - if I really wanted to run phantom power I would probably use my T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine. This does have phantom power. |

Hey John,
Yes,
Yes. The AKG C535 into the T1® into the Compact is a great combination. That's a great microphone. |
