Hi, this is my first post. I started a new band with a female lead singer and was wondering if a OM6 would work for her. I've only worked with a male lead before and we use all OM5 mics for vocals, but was thinking an OM6 would warm her vocal up a little bit more.
My Gear: 3 Model II w/ Tone Match
4 B1 Modules
2 Crest powered 15" 1000 watt subs( if needed)
Thanks for any info

Hi

Welcome!! My wife sings thru Electro Voice ND37s which was designed with the female voice in mind. It has been reintroduced due to popular demand. You may want to add it to your list to try out. IF your using ToneMatch preset one of the EV choices and it should be fine. Good Luck!

Hi mx599,

My feeling is that you are better off working with the OM5 and experimenting with EQ rather than switching mics. Use zEQ on the T1 and experiment with the mid tones for her.

Old thread, but I'll add that my wife sounds great with her OM5. Here preferred mic of the three different models we own.
