Hi westentertainer,

I can see from your earlier post that you are a new owner of an L1® Model II with two B1s and T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine (T1 for short).

Reverb is an effect that is an attempt to simulate the natural and pleasant reverberation we hear in a performance space. Adding reverb (the effect) when there is already natural reverberation in the room will tend to reduce the clarity of the sound.

The amount of reverb you need (the settings) will depend on the size, shape, construction, of the room in which you are performing, and the volume at which you are performing.

A generalization to consider... If you perform with the L1® behind you (as intended by the designers of the system) you should be able to hear much more of the natural reverb in the room than you would if you had a conventional monitor between you and the room.

When I am performing with my Model II, I rarely use reverb unless I am trying to emulate some iconic sound from a familiar song or era.

Have you tried your L1® in a performance space at full performance volume? If not - set things up and on the T1® Channel you using for the microphone - press the FX Mute button. Crank up the volume and hear your voice in the context of the room. It should be lovely.
