Bose® makes the Personalized Amplification System™ family or products equally affordable to musicians throughout the world.

The reaction of musicians throughout the world to the Personalized Amplification System™ approach to live music has been truly remarkable. In the United States especially, the number of musicians who have adopted this new philosophy and started using Cylindrical Radiator® speakers, has been nothing short of phenomenal. We believe it is fair to say that an entirely new approach to live music has taken root and is growing every day.

We also believe that musicians are unique: regardless of where they live, they speak the same language, and in many ways they are part of one big global community. These musicians recognize the many advantages of the Personalized Amplification System with its Cylindrical Radiator speaker system. To embrace this fact, we have decided to make our live music products equally affordable to all musicians worldwide, effective immediately. Musicians can use US pricing as a reference, but should consult their local Bose offices for the specifics. Moreover, we will honor and thank musicians who already took the bold step and purchased in Europe before January by ensuring they enjoy virtually the same value proposition as those buying from this day forward. These existing European owners should contact us by email at musicians_europe@bose.com. This special offer is available to you until the 31st of March.

We are confident that when musicians anywhere in the world try this new approach to live music, they will discover a fundamentally better way to amplify their voice or instrument. And because the products have now been made equally affordable worldwide, we believe musicians can focus on making better music, rather than finding a better deal. We believe we have an historic opportunity to leave the frustrations about global price differences behind, and now just focus on what really counts – better live music. Please join us.

Musicians in Europe can contact us by email (musicians_europe@bose.com) for a personal demonstration. We will contact you as soon as we can so you can experience this entirely new approach for yourself. The new global pricing will be available from January 2006, the demand is very strong, so the sooner you get your application in, the sooner you will enjoy this new way of playing.

With great admiration and respect for all musicians worldwide,

BOSE

Great news . . . Instead of saying "Finally !", I'll simply say "Thanks guys !".

I was interested in the PAS System right from the start, but decided not to go for it only because of ridiculous price difference between the US and Europe.

Now that this is not an issue anymore, the problem is, that I have used my "available" money elsewhere . . . but I'll start saving again !

I'd already found a good dealer in Germany (although 400 miles away from my home in France !), and I'd be ready to buy the unit from them (once I'll have the money again), but for obvious reasons, I'd prefer buying in France (or Switzerland where I work), but the unit still doesn't seem to be available in these 2 countries . . . any news ?

And is a "trade in" of my current PA system something which BOSE would be considering in some format ?

Taco.

Hi Guy. My name is José and I live in Portugal. I purchased a PAS system last June 2005 at the portuguese official distributor. A couple of days ago I read your announcement in this board and tried to contact Bose at musicians_europe@bose.com, as you suggest. Until now I got no answer. What can I expect from your commitment about offering the same value proposition as buyers of PAS systems after January 2006?

Thanks,

-- José.

Thanks for your reply. I was wondering if somebody was listening... :-) I'm glad to know my faith will be rewarded! I'm overwhelmed with Bose's decision! It will do wonders to PAS' popularity in Europe, too.

Thanks again,

-- José.

Regarding your comment, Drumr, about the Canadian market. Bose has appointed the first Assisted Direct sales rep in Canada. This is a huge step for musicians who require on-site assistance with set-up and proper use of the system.
You may contact Garry Hennan in Calgary at bosedirect@shaw.ca. Garry can arrange direct shipments from Bose to anywhere in Canada.

How much is the system in the UK. Is it for 1024 pounds (equivalent of $2000) for the L1 with one bass module? what are the taxes like. I am thinking of flying to London and buying the system and take it with me to India.

Hello Mr. Gupta,

The system is about the same price in Europe as it is in the US. Very little difference.

Hello Dhruv

This is not meant to be glib.

For me, the difference is less than the effort necessary to find out.

Question:

Is the Equally affordable policy stands for the new model as well?

Thanks
