We know all about the love and dedication that go into writing the perfect heartfelt songs on your acoustic guitar.
It gets really interesting if you want to take those songs on the road as a solo performer. On our musicians message board we have heard many stories of solo performers that end up playing in less than favorable circumstances. Here’s an example… As a solo ‘artist’ you will probably play a lot in pubs and small clubs. One thing those venues all have in common is a very small stage that is seldom situated in the center of the room. If you’re really lucky it won’t be placed next to the bar where everyone will still be ordering drinks during your set. The trick then is to place all your instruments and your sound system on this small stage, wire it all up and then install yourself in such a way that you ‘look’ comfortable on stage. If you own a monitor system… Good luck. Now you’re installed you can start your sound check. You want everyone to hear you clearly (they are your songs), so to reach the other end of the venue you will probably crank up your sound to fill the room. You play acoustic guitar and you have a microphone, so feedback will probably be an issue. On top of that the sound is too loud where you’re standing and not loud enough at the other side of the venue. Does any of this sound familiar to you? If it does; I invite you to try the “Personalized Amplification System™” soon. Just drop us a mail at musicians_europe@bose.com with the subject ‘help’. We’re pretty sure we can. Guy |
