I notice on the Bose website, they are giving away a free B1 module with the Model 1 system.

I cannot find this deal with any UK dealers. What's the deal with this?

I guess its a regional thing - but my store has this promotion:
– Friday, August 21, 2009 through Wednesday, September 30, 2009

Customers who purchase an L1® Model I system basic package, can receive a free B1 bass module!

Customers who purchase an L1® Model I system single bass package can receive an additional B1 bass module for free.

The promotion that you are referencing is only valid in the US and is being offered until September 30th.

When one logs onto the Bose UK website and looks for information about the L1, they are directed to a page which mentions the Free B1 with Model 1 offer.

Why would a company known for such effective marketing do such a thing. In other words, the message being sent to anyone in the UK who is browsing the website for info on the L1 is "Hey, if you were living in America, you'd get a free B1. Just thought we'd let you know."

It seems like a major oversite from Bose. All it has done is put me off buying an L1 until a similar offer is available in the UK.
