Am I missing something?

We all know the L1/T1 system is extraordinary, so I won't go into the sound issues or the weight issues or the space issues here ....

All I ask is a remote footswitch to mute the effects!

Any ideas, anyone? Confused

Hi RickPrice,

Thanks for joining the message board.

You are not missing anything - there is no connection on the T1® for a foot switch for effects (or anything else).

Andy-at-Bose UK came up with a workaround.

Read about that here:
Foot Switch to Mute Effects

I just reach out and hit the FX/Mute button.

Ditto for me, a footswitch would not help me...my feet are busy.
It's not difficult to find a pause in the music to reach out and touch.
It's much like finding a place to take a breath while singing.

Many thanks for the observations. Andy's tip about the extra channel seems like the way to go for me.

Hello:

I am able to mute my T1's effects with a foot switch in the following manner:

I purchased a Boss A/B switch which has two inputs and one output. The switch can be used in either direction so the two outputs can be two inputs, and the single input can act as the output, etc. Which means I can hook my instrument (guitar) into the single Input/Output (as an input) of the switch, and connect each of the switch's two input channels (as outputs) to two inputs on the T1. The inputs on the T1 are set up identically except that one of the channels has effects in play, while the other does not. By toggling my Boss A/B footswitch I can mute the effects.

I realize this is not an ideal situation because you are chewing up an extra channel on your T1...but it does work if you really need to use a footswitch to mute the T1's effects, etc.

Stu,

That's a great idea. After the earlier responses I went through the loft and found an old Morley A/B box. I will be trying both yours and Andy's workaround. Many thanks to all of you for pointing me in the right direction.
