Wow, first let me say that from what I've read, this sounds like a godsend for live music! I have a background in classical music, but pop, folk, and rock will always be my first love. I have always wanted to bring the subtleties of chamber music into a large club, and it sounds like my dream may finally come true.

I am a singer/keyboardist. For most performances, I sing lead and then play keys. My gear consists of a Rhodes MK1 73, a Yamaha P-200, a few synths, and a Nord Electro (using only the B3 patch).

Will it comprimise the sound if I run my vocals and my keys through a single system (Except the organ -- you'll have to pry my Leslie from my cold, dead hands). Or, would I have to purchase a seperate one for my vocals? That could get expensive.

Do these things have a mic input, or would I need an outboard preamp?

Finally, has anyone used one of these in combination with a Leslie (or put one on a rotating turntable)?

You can put your keys and vocals through one system – in fact, that’s the whole idea. I put my Roland VK (with lots of overdrive – wish I had a Nord), a pristine Kurzweil piano, and my lead vocal mic all through one system. There’s no compromise at all, in fact it’s the best I’ve ever sounded. All my sound comes from my position on stage. Our guitar player uses heavy overdrive and super-clean vocal mic – all through the same system. Try it.

There are to mic/line inputs both with phantom power, and two additional line inputs – a total of 4 inputs. If you need more inputs you can always use an outboard mixer too.
