Hi Joe, I have used the pas for several events as a PA. Banquets for a local hospital-- Used a shure lapel mic. and a sm58 handheld (both wireless) and the results were simply great in a room about 50 X 100 with about 200-250 people.
Having done this type of event with very good(in my opinion the best) conventional equipment, I can truly tell you that the pas is way better and way simpler to set up.

Also used it as PA for a local softball league to announce the teams and coaches at the beginning of their season. I set it up close to second base facing home plate. Annnouncements were made with a wireless mic. from many locations in the infield to people who filled the grandstands, the dugouts, and lined the left and right field fences. Amazing is the only way to describe the clarity and natural sound of the voices. When they called a young gentleman out to sing the nation anthem without any music, It brought goose bumps to the back of my neck--- It was awsome!!

If you can leave us a few more specifics about what you need, I'm sure others will have helpful input.

Hope this helps

I have done it twice...my first post on that with pics is here: Report on Sgl PAS 4pc band

Tried it again a few months back with my rock trio...worked great. A little light on the kick drum maybe, but overall, very, very good.

I have a video clip of it if you are interested. Go HERE

Scroll down our songlist, and about 1 1/2" below the last song is an "invisible" link that we use to download songs for practice. When you move your mouse over the link, the cursor will turn into the finger pointer, click on it. Click on the "UNDERWEAR" mpeg (45mb). You can get an idea of the volume relationship between the vocals from the PAS and the instruments. Not good for much else, it was one of our first "winging it" type gigs.
