To all,

Just returned today from a weekend vacation in Nashville. Celebrated my 40th birthday (9/11) and our 19th wedding anniversary (9/12).

Absolutely great time, Sunday had a great time in the infamous Tootsie's.

Anyway, seen alot of musicians, everyone is pretty true to the roots, meaning, Telecasters, Fender amps, Gibsons and such.

I was hoping to see a L1 somewhere but no luck. All the clubs have house pa's, typical 3 ways. All sounded very good.

I did talk to a soundtech in Legend's and he said he has heard an L1 and said they sounded great..

Has anyone been to Nashville and seen L1's in action??

I love to party in Nashville. Wouldn't the Bluebird Cafe (Shhhhh) be the perfect place for an L1?

Respect

Col. Andy

Never made it to the Blue Bird..

2 days wasn't enough to catch all the bars.

Next time and there will be a next time.

I demoed one in there but the sound guy was too much in the old school to listen to my advice and would not use it as intended for the performance. That's Nashville - "I've always done it this way, and *I* know what I'm doing."

The musicians LOVED it. Loved it. Loved it. The ones who were not aware that the L1 was there commented IMMEDIATELY during soundcheck that something made them sound GREAT. I, of course, helped them identify the source.

Hey there. Dave Pomeroy from Nashville here. Sorry you didn't see any L1's but they are around. I am using one with my acoustic instrumental trio Three Ring Circle. We absolutely LOVE it. We play the Station Inn every 6 weeks or so and without exception, every show we do is followed by comments about how much better the sound is than usual. When we go on the road it's the same thing. It allows us to mix ourselves and senf d the sound man what We want him to have. IT's a great innovation on many different levels.

Great work, Bose!

Dave,
Thanks for the post. I heard part of an interview with you and your bandmates that was posted on the forum. I'm glad you guys discovered the L1. I hope to hear your group sometime.

I've seen some of your work with Chet Atkins, Doyle Dykes and others and consider you the best Bassist working in Nashville these days. Your opinion of the L1 is highly respected.

Thanks again for sharing from your experience.

Hey, Dave --

Picked up your "Three Ring Circle CD" after hearing about your 'unknown Nashville' interview on this forum. Great stuff.

As a dobro player, I always follow Rob Ickes's projects. After hearing your sound, I can hear how much the Bose system would suit you all.

Let us know when you bring Three Ring Circle to Northern California. I'm sure we could rustle up some L1s for you to use at the Palms in Winters if you need them.

Great work, Dave!
