I just played a two night performance with my new Bose PAS Jan. 21st & 22nd at a Sanders, a fine food restuarant. I was the guest artist with JAZZ On TAP ( bass, guitar, & drums.) I am a jazz pianist and vocalist. There was a blizzard both nights and guests had to walk a city block from the parking lot to get there. When the guys got to the little tiny stage, they saw this stove pipe and started whispering to each other . . . yeah, right.
We didn't expect anyone to show up in the blizzard. Well, the place was packed for the whole night. The customers said this was the first that they had been able to hear the grand piano all the way to the front bar.

The next night, there were doctors, lawyers, college professors standing inside at the entrance holding up money to bribe the waiters to let them in. The place was double booked all night. The musicians (Jazz On Tap) were just amazed at the sound. Kris, the guitarist put his ear right up to the speaker when I was singing full blast. He was standing in front up the speaker all night. The PAS was right beside the grand (in the crook on the right side.) I placed one vocal microphone pointing down toward the second hole inside the piano. I sang with my Shure 58. No feedback what so ever. A professional piano tuner came the first night ( a college student ) and decided to tune the piano the next day if I gave him an hour lesson. The next night the sound was phenomenal. He was sitting right in front the first night. The second night he sat at a long table in a long room that was behind the tiny stage. He said he wanted to just crawl inside the piano. He said he could almost reach out and touch the sound. And my voice was crystal clear . . . no effects.

Thank you SO-O-O-O-O- much for an almost magical two nights that so many people will never forget.

I forgot to tell you that when I packed up in fifteen minutes (even counting untangling my mike wires from all of the guitar accessory wires, Jazz On Tap was dumbfounded. They called my luxury case on wheels, my "Hat Box." They were completely sold. I didn't even have to let my seats down in my Trailblazer. All of my gear fit neatly in the rear hatch area. And oh, . . . no more noisy banging of metal. I used the zippered case that it shipped with to carry my boom mike stands.
