After my usual "gig" (Sunday church band) this past week, I was approached by a visitor from another church. Come to find out he was their sound tech. He said, "at first, I couldn't find the speakers, then I realized it was those black poles". He was impressed with the sound and he specifically used the word "warmth" when describing the sound. Another band member asked visitor what he thought of the sound. He said it sounded great - he was very impressed. He had never heard the L1 in action so it was definitely a good first impression.

For those interested, we used 4 L1's. One for electric guitar, one for acoustic guitar/backup vox (me), one for lead vox/keys (my wife), and a 4th L1 for bass guitar and v-drums. (4 B1's, two of which were powered by an extra PS-1.

John,

Great to hear comments like this! I played in a 3-piece rock cover band in FL, where we used two L1's (model I), two B1's per (our drummer owned them), as our PA and monitors for small to mid sized clubs. We always got comments like that, from musicians and non-musicians alike!

I now live in GA, and I've only been able to afford one L1 (model II), with two B1's. Again, I play in a trio, but we have mixed gear, and it doesn't sound as well. I have tried to find other musicians in the Atlanta area who use these, and have not had much success - outside of church applications, anyway.

My question is this: who has your job in GA? Because I can tell you from my purchasing experience, I know way more about these things than any salesperson at Guitar Center (only authorized dealer in town). I think that with a focused demo and marketing effort, a lot more people would realize that they can improve their sound a great deal, while selling stuff they won't need anymore. This important cost offset is not greatly understood by musicians who might buy an L1 or two.

If no one currently has that role, I am in sales and would make myself available for something like this, fyi...

Thanks for your time!
