After excellent help and enthusiasm from forum members we've now bought our system.

L1 Series II
B1 x 1
T1 x 2

We spent two hours in Sound Control Newcastle (UK) where Dave set the system up with everything unadjusted and straight out of the box - he even supplied two mikes of the type that we use in our live performances...

The sound defies description - unbelievable, we're lost for words, it is just so... somehow all around you and crystal clear, even in a shop with other customers trying out keyboards and amps etc.

We could hear ourselves clearly and we could hear each other clearly - this is the first time we've ever been able to do this - it even sounded better than acoustic in our own front room.

Next step, install the Taylor pre-sets and then we just need to go out and find lots of gigs where we can convert everyone to this magnificent system.

To anyone with any doubts we would just say, try it and buy it - you won't regret it.

Aha! Hadn't fully assimilated all the info, and had downloaded the Taylor presets prior to even buying the system.

Have now switched on the gear, plugged in our guitars and selected the already existing Taylor presets... Whoof! Can't remember when I last heard an acoustic guitar sound so good - tons of bottom end on my Taylor 910CE-L7 with the 6th string de-tuned to D (I can feel the floor vibrating ... so will probably tweak ever so slightly), great balance across the middles and sparkling trebles.

Next up, install the firmware updates.

According to Preferences on the T1 we already have Firmware 1.3 for the T1 and 1.1 for the L1 Power Stand... so it looks like we're up to date 'Out of the box'.

welcome to the gaggle of UK L1 11 users ! I've only had mine since September and was blown away by the sound of my acoustic throught it (Takamine Nashville) In fact, that was the reason I bought it !
I had a problem with my T1 which froze up and wouldn't respond, but that has been sorted by Andy Rigler from Bose who lives 15 mins from me.
You will never look back !
