I had the good fortune this afternoon to be present at the Bose VIP demonstration of this system. My best friend is a long time Bose employee who was able to get me into the demo. I've never felt the need to post any opinions on a message board before but...this thing blew me away.

I can't quote laws of physics or decifer sound wave patterns, but I've been gigging for 3 decades, and I know good sound. This system really did sound excellent wherever I stood in the room, and I walked through every square foot. (By the way, the band was great!) All you skeptics out there, do yourselves a favor and go check out one of the shows in your area - it will answer all your questions.

I'm not an engineer or a national touring act - I'm just a guy in a local club rock band playing cover tunes of Aerosmith, Led Zep, SRV... the usual stuff. Does it sound as good as my full range 3 way Klipsch system? Let's see...after I haul in 400 lbs of speaker cabinets, a half dozen monitors, 4,000 watts of power amps, a rack full of processors, all the cabling, each player's personal amps, spend a couple hours setting the whole system up, mic all the amps and all the drums, get the monitors working (and pray we don't get too much feedback).. and then if the stars align properly, it's a perfect room under ideal conditions and I stand exactly in that sweet spot in the front, my Klipsch probably sounds better. But how often are conditions ideal, and besides, it's hard to convince an entire audience to all stand in that one good sounding sweet spot.

At the demo they said that you can enjoy PLAYING instead of worrying about the LOGISTICS of playing. How true is that. The bottom line is, it does everything they say. My Klipsch system goes up for sale next week.
