You have to admit this is pretty funny.

I find this mean-spirited and off topic.

The whole thread is like a bunch of cave men discussing what possible use the wheel is going to be.

Robert, point taken. When you put all the iterations of B1's & Packlites this system can get a little more involved, but I know you are treading on thin ice when you make jabs at the kind-hearted folks here who have given us so much. This hurts.

Actually I don't find it funny either. Considering that it just perpetuates untruths about the L1.

I checked out the thread in question. The posters on that thread pretty much lied in a round about way on a couple occasions. It was obvious that they didn't know what they were talking about. I think a couple of the guys were just commenting on photos and had never heard the system, which just shows the outright ignorance of some people who think they know sound.

It still baffles my mind that people can't just hear a system, and admit it sounds better, because they are stuck on old technology for some reason.

I for one am a very happy owner of not one but two systems. I am by no means loaded. I don't make a lot of money playing out, my band is new, and trying to graduate to the next level. Theres no way I would have bought a second if the first didn't blow me and listeners away.

The L1s ease of use, setup and soundquality is in no way overstated. I've used them out many times now, and it has always been a pleasure both for me and the audience.

Why should a company not advertise things it's product can do, just because other products in the same market can't make the same claims?

I know I'm preaching to the choir here on the bose site. but, I wanted to post this for anyone checking out an L1 system, or for any of the ignorant, "sound guys," that would like to believe the jabs at the L1 because they don't like the marketing on the site, or because it doesn't carry the brand name logo you like, or because musicans who use these can now adjust their own sound and sound better without a sound guy.
