I have an issue with feed back. The problem is that with many of the places I play I am squeezed against a wall without the optiomal distance from the tower. It is very frustrating and forces me to agree with my partner that the old school works best in this situation....

Disappointing....... L1 mod.2 T1

HI Donnyboy,

How do you set up with the Model II when you're squeezed against the wall?

What about the old school do you think works better in such a situation?

The majority of venues that I play do not allow me to be the optimal distance in front of the L1 so I place it wherever works best, from behind and to the side to in front of me and I haven't yet failed to get a good sound from the system.

Beware of the alcove/tunnel effect from deep stage with walled sides. The wide dispersion of the model 2 reflects the signal right back at you from the sides and can lead to some feedback issues. In these situations I always place the L1's to the side or in front but always with the dispersion pattern falling out front of the stage.

Sing like you mean it..........or else shut up and let someone else do it!

I second what Eric'sson said, and would like to add that you can cut out attenuate the most problematic frequencies with the Para EQ. Oh, that is if you have a T1, of course...but you should, sine you use a MII Smile

Cut down the brightness of the reverb to about 40% (as stated many times in this forum) and try to keep the amount of reverb between 20-25%. It goes a LONG way, trust me. The L1 carries the reverb sound just as far as it carries the instrument.
