I would sure like to see an early Sunday morning prayer, and thanksgiving, for all we will have surrounding us on that day, May 3rd.
We will have a Reverend in our midst, and I would love to ask if he would like to lead us with something musical and spiritual.
It could be in the Geneva Hall, if it's available, or one of many beautiful spots around the resort.
A couple acoustics and a bongo...whatever. Raise a joyous noise. Can we fit a little something in?
What say RJ? I'll bring a bucket and a brush.

Hi Drumr Pete,

I set up a place for this and other activities in the wiki late last night but did not get back to the message board to post about it. I see that Nathan is already working on it.

Sign up sheet.

Hi-ho,

When I was up early (when am I not?) the other morning, and saw that ST had set the Wiki up to include this, I just felt it was right for me to put my name in there. I'm sure that I don't do enough, for the Lord or for this community, and saw this as an opportunity to grow a bit.

I'm not a big fan of over-structured church, but I'll have a few points here in the coming days leading up to the conference. When I'm in charge here at home, the best planning time for me is truly the morning of, but I realize that won't work quite as well in this case.

The two obvious things:

There will be quite a bit of music (I wish Carrie could make it out; this is usually a team effort).

There will be a lot of sharing. The conferences are all about that anyway, in my opinion, but we can allow ourselves to be a little more spiritual, and Spiritually-lead.

I think we all have a message to deliver. God tells each of us something, but he doesn't necessarily tell the other guy. It's up to us to tell the other guy, and also up to us to listen to what the other guy says.

Would you like to share in Communion? I think this would be very nice. It might be neat to go around to each of us and, if you have one, share the blessing on the Sacraments that you knew growing up or that your church uses now.

Well, there are my thoughts at the present. I'll use this thread for "stuff", and others should do likewise. We'll keep the Wiki clean with just the sign-up sheet as it is.

Hey all,

I'd be happy to participate in any way I can.
I think this is a great idea.

Hi everyone,

I play acoustic in my church's worship band, so I have a huge set of lead sheets if we need them.

Bring 'em with you.
I have a few sets of chord sheets (words & chords only) I can bring, too.

A few days out and I am thinking about the time for this. I think breakfast is over at 10:00, if the set up time for the restaurant is any indication of that. Based on the hiking locations presented, unless the hikers go very early, we'll be looking at 10:00 or 11:00 for "church" at the very earliest. I'm posting in the hiking thread, too, so Larry, you'll see some semblance of this there...

Very well, I would say. There were about 7 of us I think (without thinking about it too hard, that is), and almost everyone had something to share. We were outside overlooking the valley and the weather was beautiful. It was great.
