Here's a thread that could allow us to continue the wonderful tradition of having some gifts and giveaways at L1 conferences.

Of course we'll have to be selective, but this is the place to make suggestions.

I'll start.

I recently invested in a "fine art printer" that allows me to print very high fidelity prints on high quality paper up to poster size.

So I am going to make a set of L1 conference posters and give them away at the Little Switzerland conference.

- Big Sur
- Ashland
- St. Louis
- Cuchara
- Little Switzerland

I hope this is something that the community would value.

Ken

Ken -

That's a wonderful idea! I can't wait to see your posters...they will be "collector editions" for sure! I have a couple of posters from a Folklike festival and the MRF that I attended years ago hanging in my office and they bring a smile to me every now and then when I look up and see them! Smile

We brought schwag - CD's, bumper stickers, sunglasses, etc. - to Big Sur. I'd like to see folks do that again if they're up to it.

Wallacher Guitar Hangers

Howzit Hangin' - Johnny B Good is supporting our conference with support for our Guitars. These are the Guitar stands that mount on the back of the L1 Cylindrical Radiators®.

He is sending several for use during the conference and then these can go home with some lucky conference attendees!

Here is a message from John at Wallacher.

quote:

Howzit Hangin,
The WPAS-1 Guitar hanger response has been great because of you guys and gals just spreading the word about the hangers. Not only do they fit both Bose models but the space saving feature alone gets alot of praise.

Any music store now can order this hanger - so if you have one in your neighborhood they too can order it for you. That is if they're not too busy. If any of them say they can't call us Toll free 1-800-984-2644 and we'll help you out.

Thanks Again for the Great support and feel free to give me any feed back or suggestions.

Johnny B Good

ditto.

This was lots of fun and I hope that people will consider doing that at this conference.

Bring some of *your* promo stuff to swap or give away to others.

If you mean schwag of the forum guys (as opposed to Bose Corp. stuff), that would be great! I'd love to have some sort of reminder or souvenir of the friends I make at the conference.

Guess I'll have to make some (schwag that is)!

There's nothing better than a poster of an event you participated in... Cool

Nadene, Bill, and Dean at EnrouteMusic are generously donating a Porchboard Bass!

This is *not* the first time - and who says lightning does strike ...

Click the picture for details about Porchboard Basses.

And there may be more exciting news to come on this front.

If we are very lucky, Nadene from EnrouteMusic will be joining us on Monday. I'll be on the phone with her later today and I'll mention your interest in the sub woofer.

Hi Roy,

Nadene will bring one along depending on how she is travelling. I understood from her that this sub woofer was intended for an otherwise unamplified performer who wanted to use a PorchBoard.

Anyway, she knows you are interested.

Hi everyone, and a big thank you to JT for the invite to join (and meet) you all in May. The guys took a vote here and it was unanimous that they get to tag along with me. So if no one minds, I'd love to 'crash' the conference and bring both Bill (inventer of the PorchBoard) and Dean (designer of the PorchBoard) with me to Little Switzerland. Smiles, Nadene (a.k.a. PorchBoard Bass)

Oh my......... ST, I spelled your initials wrong. If I'd have done it on purpose it'd be soooo funny, but it was simply a typo. EVERYONE, ST was kind enough to take the time to call and invite the PorchBoard 'family' to the conference, and we can't let 'typo JT' take the credit:-) Nadene (a.k.a. PorchBoard Bass)

Hi Nadene,

AWESOME. We would absolutely love to have you all. What a thrill. Would you folks like to give a short presentation on your technology and its musical roots?

If you would like to spend the night please let the Inn know about it. There's a cool group building with private bedrooms and a common area called the Edelweiss (too charming for words) that is very economical and I feel that there may be others that would switch to the Edelweiss if they knew it as going to be and All-L1 crowd.

Can you imagine the jam sessions?

Whichever way, we're delighted you'll be joining us.

Ken

Hi Ken, and thanks so much for reinforcing the invite. We're excited about attending, but we won't need lodging. (A mixed blessing? Having friends in the area that I must visit while I'm in town)
Bill is the more technical musician from our group (he drools just reading user manuals:-) If we manage to get into town early, I'm hoping to drop him off to visit with 'like minds' while I attend to my other obligations.

I'll for sure plan on all of us being there on Monday. I would love to share a short summary of some of the stories we've received from our customers regarding how the PorchBoard has enabled musicians to add to their overall sound, performance, creativity and gig variety abilities. Dean can add a few sentences about the importance of aesthetic design as it relates to overall audience acceptance and I'm certain Bill would love to explain the benefits of the PorchBoard using an electrical resonant magnetic sensor to achieve the low-end instead of using a more common microphone pickup.

So, only 30 odd days away. We can't wait.....

Nadene
