We’ll have a 2-track recording setup on hand. Laptop with Audacity on it, an MAudio USB stereo interface/preamp and a pair of Shure SM81.

If you want a copy of any of the music you play, bring one of those ($12) 2GB memory sticks and take it home that way.

Thanks to Cliff-at-Bose!

note: already cross-posted to Conference page in the wiki / recording.

Update

There may also be equipment to burn CDs. — Thanks Tom.

I may also be able to put things online if we get permissions from the performers.

I have a fairly old laptop with a separate CD burner. If some of you can bring blank CD-R's I'll burn them. We may run out of time though, so this is all hopeful right now.

Looks like we need some extra mic stands for the recording mics. Can anyone bring more mic stands? It would be good to have more than the six we have (on the Wiki at last count) anyway.

Thanks,

Tom

I can bring a total of 4. I have been trying to log on to the wiki but with no luck. I had said I could bring a keyboard but I am running into some space problems. I see someone else is brining one so if it is not a problem I will leave it at home. I had surgery on my left shoulder Monday so I am typing with one hand. Please excuse any mistakes. Roy

Since I'm driving and have some room left in the van, I was going to throw in a couple of boom stands, too. I thought we might be a little short with two venues active.

I just asked the wiki system to send you a new password. Check your email for details.

Hope the shoulder is doing better soon.

I'll take the keyboard out of the wiki page for you.

..but yours was the only 88 I saw listed, so if you could squeeze it in, I know *I* would appreciate it! I can bring some extra mic stands, if that helps free up some space for you.

Have a careful drive, so you can then let your shoulder be 'at ease' through the conference for quicker healing!

Hi Roy. I had my right shoulder done in Jan. and being right hand dominant, I had a rough time with the keyboard. ST brought to my attention that I had voice recognition software in my Windows Vista. It works pretty good after a small learning curve, and helped me until I got my right hand back.
Good luck,
See ya this weekend.

Thanks Col. Good or bad it's my left shoulder. I hate to say it but it was a combination of work related and age. I had calcium deposits, a bone spur and frozen shoulder with scare tissue. I played a little today and its was intresting. The hand works but the shoulder does not want to move. I am going to therapy everyday and it is improving. I have to play Thursday and Friday. Could not find a replacement. The good new is my wife is a piano player so she will have stay up late the next 2 nights. Looking forward to recovery in the mountains. If you see someone doing strange things with his left arm come on up and say hello. Roy
