Hi chema dj,

This sounds like a big event, and fun too.

Is it outdoors?

Please try The Sketcher to show us how you will set the stage.

Do you have rough dimensions of the space - I am particularly interested in knowing
- outdoors?
- rectangle shape?
- where is the stage in this space?

Hi chema dj,

I think I understand what you are doing with

  • two L1®s behind the performers - for monitoring
  • two L1®s in front of the performers - for the audience

I think that you might do at least as well, and probably better if you put all the L1®s behind the performers, and move the performers forward (down stage). This will put them at least 3 metres away from the L1®s. This is lots of distance and you can get lots volume (gain before feedback).

I tried to figure out what mixer you have (Crown Audio 12 Channel) (what model do you have). I went to Crown Audio documents and looked at some of their mixing consoles. Everything I saw there had multiple busses. So you might be able control each L1® separately. If you can't then I would use the Remotes and the T1®s.

I would run each performer through only one L1®. No stereo, no panning.

Also - I would put the Model IIs in the middle so that all of the performers will hear the wide dispersion. If you do decide to put two behind and two in front, then I would put the Model IIs behind.

Hi Chema DJ,

Although I prefer to put all the L1®s behind the performers,

IF
I was going to use L1®s as monitors and L1®s for the main speakers I would put the Model II units behind the performers. This should give you better monitoring.
