WOOPS! I sit CORRECTED, after being mistaken all these years!
JENNIFER CONDOS played bass with Henley...
Very cool though - I got a very fast personal reply from Miss Batten setting me right.

Not 100% certain, but I'm pretty sure I remember Jennifer touring in the early 90's with Don Henley's band, as bassist. They appeared on Saturday Night Live as well. First concert I took my sons to - awesome...

Some years ago Jennifer Batten was on tour as 'side guitarist' with Jeff Beck. They used 'conventional' equipment. It was the loudest concert I visites in my life. It was so loud that the first time I experienced volume as a real threat, physically, one of my teeth began even to hurt; it was so loud that I lack the vocabulary to describe it. We left the concert (after alsmost fighting against the security persons who wouldn't let us go!) and a whole crowd was outside upset and angry due to this unbelievable volume. Well, if they had some BOSE L1 one that time ... It was the first and last Jeff Beck concert for me ... good to know Jennifers ears aren't damaged ... www.blissnblue.com
I have posted some shots of her UK shows on the 'For Europeans' section. It was great to see her shows and get such positive feedback about the L1s. All the best, Andy

Actually, Jennifer is a good friend & as Ken knows one of the big reasons Jennifer uses L1's is for enhanced dispersion @ tolerable volume levels...she did have some hearing problems with the Beck tours ...catch her show in the US starting in May in Boston sharing the bill with an amazing acoustic guitarist Vicki Genfan(ala Michael Hedges & Leo Kotke) Good to be back to the forum, best to all !
