Notes about Rust Never Sleeps - A Live Neil Young Retrospective
From our website: RUST NEVER SLEEPS is a unique, live rock show that celebrates the music, and musical career of Neil Young. Based in the Greater Boston area, Rust Never Sleeps pays "tribute" to Neil Young and his music the best way they know how... with integrity. While some groups in the tribute-band genre are content with a note for note replication of the original recordings, a Rust Never Sleeps show is infused with the passion and truth that comes from musicians using their own unique, creative energy to present these great songs.

Comments about the L1® System
L1s are very, sometimes brutally honest! Vocals rule in our band and the goal is not just to hear them, but to hear all of their many subtle nuances. The same holds true for our instrument tones, whether it's two similarly-voiced acoustics or two full-on, distorted electrics and a distorted pedal steel. Our ongoing process of learning to play in support of the vocals and solos has yeilded a pleasant surprise; We're playing individually and collectively with a far wider dynamic range than any of us had ever thought was possible while performing live!

We're quite fortunate in that our audiences (rabid Neil fans from all walks of life) tend to be very attentive. Some nights, even in normally loud bars, we can often hear a pin drop one minute and be thinking about hearing protection the next!

Wow that is a very cool band.

It's also quite a musical challenge to cover those songs that span Neil's career. It must be a blast! Great job.

Thanks Steve - It really is an absolute blast! It's always fresh, as we're drawing from such a huge repertoire of great songs...

Any chance that we might see you at BB's in Times Square on November 12th (Neil's birthday)?

All the best,

Chuck
