Comments about the L1® System
It's simply amazing. Since we've started using it, people have started raving about how good the sound is. When we play larger venues with fixed installations & sound technicians, we always end up missing the Bose. We plan to eventually get one column each & use them for stage monitors in larger venues.

Setup:

For smaller rooms we run just vocals through the T1, set a little compression & reverb & set our amps to a decent performance volume & we're done. For larger rooms, we'll mike everything up to a mixer & then feed the main outs of the mixer to channel 4/5 of the Bose & blend with the vocals.

Hi Jason!

Thanks for joining the forum.

Thanks too for posting the link to your site.

I am really enjoying the audio I found here:

Just what I needed at 2:56 am on the coast.
Nice tone Jason. Thanks for the details about your guitar rig. What kinds of Guitars are you playing in the recordings? (especially Haley & the Trees). I found your bio page and it says you're using a Les Paul and Blueshawk - on this cut too?

Hi ST! Thanks for the warm welcome man! In most of the recordings I'm using either a Les Paul or a Blues Hawk Running through my pedal board & into a Tweed Fender Blues Junior with a Celestion Greenback in it. (The Jensen was too shrill for my ears) On Haley & the Trees I'm using an old Ibanez 12 string that my parents bought me for my 16th birthday. I recorded it with a Rode NT-1 positioned in between frets 15 & 20 & about 4-5 inches away. There are also 2 AKG C1000S' recording the ambient noises of the cars & crickets at night & the sound of the fireplace. All the mixing was done in Logic with UAD-1 effects. (LA-2A's, Realverb Pro, Pultec Pro & the Mastering stuff - Precision EQ, Buss Compressor & Maximizer.) Believe it or not, I've actually retired my Les Paul & my BluesHawk & am now using an Epiphone Sheraton II that I've modded with a Graph Tech ResoMax bridge, A Gibson TP-6 Tailpiece & 2 Custom made Sheptone Tribute Humbuckers. (Super Sweet) We're going to be doing some live video recordings using the Bose & my webcam. I got it recording video from the webcam & audio from the Bose into the same application, so once I get some sleep, I'm going to do some recording with the band to showcase the bose. I really can't believe how amazing this thing is man. I was skeptical when I heard some of the people in the videos from the website saying that it was getting them more gigs, but it's really true. The sound is SO amazing we don't even really like playing the bigger clubs anymore cuz we have to use their system! lol
BTW, there are some pics up on the website of the studio with the Bose in it you can check 'em out here:

And here's the Bose:

K, I'm off to bed! (6:40AM here lol) I'll post some promo shots & vids/recordings with the Bose starting tomorrow. Thanks again for welcoming me to the forum!
Peace - J.
