GREEN LIGHT - Voted the Space Coast's Favorite Cover Band for 2007!
Ray:Lead/Backing Vocals, Becky:Lead/Backing Vocalss, Dottie:Bass, Tony:Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, Tron Green Light started with 2 L1 systems in Aug 2005, using our Mackie mixer to handle all the mic and instrument inputs. We were basically using them as replacements for our FOH and monitors. Picked up a third L1 about one year later and got rid of the mixer. We play a wide variety of venues, from 70-80 person bars to large outdoor events, L-shaped rooms to senior center auditoriums. Sketch has been submitted - not as bad as it appears, considering we're a 7 piece with lots going on on-stage. If you search my posts on this board, you'll see that I've said several times that I would NOT be playing live music if it were not for the L1. I was at the end of my rope with volume wars, terrible sound, trying to please everyone (I was the soundguy and the guitar player) - it just wasn't fun anymore. The L1 makes performing fun, because you actually get to PERFORM, focus on the song, and hear everything. Also, the systems have opened up new venues for us, places that typically won't bring in bands because they play TOO LOUD. (Yes, I know I'm YELLING - don't you always have to yell when a band is using a traditional PA?) You can see some live, unedited videos of Green Light performing with the L1's (shot with a little Handycam) on our website. Green Light Website PmP ![]() |

Hi PmP,
Thank you for using the Sketcher. Here is your Sketch. -- click image to make changes to the live version -- Here is a link to the full sized version of the image. Legend: Orange numbers are Systems and Inputs using those Systems. Blue ringed numbers are Channel connections to/from the Classic and Model I Systems. Blue filled numbers are Channel connections to/from the T1 ToneMatch™ audio engine. Green numbers are for general notes about the Sketch and connections to non-Bose gear.Quoting PmP from The Sketcher

Thanks for the Sketcher, ST!
Should have mentioned in my original post: Would appreciate feedback, especially in 2 areas. 1) The website. I built it to be light-hearted and whimsical - is it TOO cartoonish? I've been considering something more 'polished' but on the other hand, the band doesn't take itself real seriously...we match our demeanor to the gig, but basically we're in it for fun, not money. 2) If you take the time to watch the Live videos, I'd also appreciate feedback on them. Of course, the recording quality is so-so, I'm more interested in whether you think the clips capture a "live performance" feel or not. Thanks, PmP |

Good Evening All,
It is with mixed emotions that I share the news with my friends here on the forum; Dottie and I just played our last gig as members of Green Light. Although the band will carry on, Dottie and I 'retired' on 9 Jan 09, playing to a packed crowd, with bandmates we love, at a great venue here on the Space Coast. After eight years with the same band, it wasn't an easy decision. However, if it were not for the genius and perserverance of folks like Col. Cliff-, Ken-, Hilmar-, and many Others-at-Bose, I would have left the band years ago. Thanks to Everyone-at-Bose who gave me the chance to enjoy playing live music again. Life seems to be about phases, and for us, the band phase has closed and a new one opened. We became 'empty-nesters' this summer and, after much discussion and a busy season of gigs in the fall, decided we were ready to reclaim our weekends and see what that would bring. We plan to spend a lot of time in the RV (no, I've not driven it off a mountain so far) and generally do whatever we darn well please on the weekends. With any luck at all, I'll get one of the jobs I've applied for at Arnold Air Force Base, TN and we'll be able to live full-time in our vacation home on Summerhouse Mountain. I'm quite sure that more live music is in our future, so don't bother asking me to sell our L1 systems - ain't happening! V/R, PmP |

Hi Mike,
I've always enjoyed reading about your adventures and successes with your band. I can totally relate to idea that the L1® can give us time, more time, to enjoy playing live music. Thanks for sharing this, another piece of your journey. Enjoy your weekends and may you find new opportunities in the time that opens up. I can't wait to hear about your next phase. All the best. Hi Mike. Hope this turns out well for you. From my experience, it won't take long to get the itch to play live.
Good luck, Respect, Col. Andy & Pam |
