I'm wondering if my L! rig will be necessary, as we are going to carpool from Connecticut, and I'd like to bring guitars and effects pedals and synths and stuff. Any info on what will be supplied, or are we looking to the participants for rigs?

Who is this skillydally person of which you speak?
Sure, I'll bring the lot. And my BassPODxt.
I was thinking...would it be useful to any bassists attending to have some sort of discussion of pros and cons of various ways to deal with electric basses? Having been down that road, I might have something to offer. Nothing that I haven't already posted here...just wondering. If you like I could write up a brief to hand out explaining the pros and cons of different approaches.

Hey Andrew, as a fellow bassist who also uses the BassPodXT (into Channel 3 - Channels 1&2 are used by the vocalists!), and who just recently purchased the A1 Packlite Extended Bass Package (I've had my L1/2B1 system for two year now), I'm sure that any information you'd like to share with your bottom-dwelling brethren would be greatly appreciated. Go for it! I'm hoping that the at-Bose folks are planning a demo/discussion class specifically on playing bass with the L1/2B1,A1/2B1 system.
Regards and looking forward to meeting you at the conference,
I am reading about people bringing gear but I'm not quite sure what this event really is about. If anyone plays bluegrass I can bring a banjo and I also plan on having my guitar.

Hey Wayne - I think we could shuck some corn or something? I once backed-up Gary "Biscuit" Davis for a few contest pieces and he won in spite of my clunking & clanking! LOL... 'Haven't pick'd seriously for a few years but it would be fun to maybe blow-out some cobwebs in a corner someplace.
See you late Sun-on...

Sounds good to me. Actually, my banjo has taken a back seat lately to my guitar so I can play solo more but I can still pick a few barn burners on the banjo. Easy to speed on the old five string vs the gitar.
I just confirmed my room at the inn and my flight. I have to work on Sunday morning so I won't be there until late on Sunday night. I'll probably bring a Taylor nylon string guitar. Looking forward to the event. rwj

Ken, I'm standing next to Dan in Sisters, Oregon with no time to call the Warren Center. Can you commit to a cabin room for Dan? He'll call them when he gets back from the folk festival out here.
We just had two great demos - one with a bluegrass band on two condensers with a variation of the Rich Stillman setup, & the other with two singer/songwriters.

Since my buddy isn't going to make this - I do have a double bed reserved at the INN that I will not keep for much longer. If someone needs this room, lemme know and I will call Warren and transfer it to whoever can use it.
I'm gonna hang in a cabin too.

I think we're going to sell out.
Book it Danno.
If you get shut out, we'll find a way. For instance, the cabins are totally cool. I'm probably going to stay there.
Still, figure out your scene and check in!!!

Hey rwj, you're not a Floridian by outside chance? I met a guy playing with a nylon strung Taylor through an L1 in a hotel bar (was is Fort Lauderdale?) and was just wondering if it could have been you?
Wayne
One cool thing here is the chance to hear these different instruments up close.
ST - goofy morning trying to get this sorted out - argh!
I will be DRIVING a rental car from NYC, won't be there until about 10pm Sun - bringing guitars, electronics, maybe the L1, have a double bed room reserved for now but that will change to a cabin bed sometime next week. If someone needs the room reservation - lemme know.

'Twas a different guy. I'm from south Georgia. The nylon is one of 3 taylors I own. I also have a 414c limited edition and a T5. They all sound great in the L1. The tonematch presets are super. I'm looking forward to meeting you and all next month.

I'm looking forward to the nylon Taylor - which pickups does it have? I'd like to see a Taylor T5 if someone has one & could bring it. I'll be bringing a custom Collings C10 - the only guitar I have with a real flight case (a Calton).
