Well,
the morning session @ The Bose conference brought up some real issues, for me that is........... Cliff restated the contention that the PAS was designed for one instrument and one vocalist. While we know that the singer songwriter scenario is a no brainer for the PAS, let's move on to something that's actually an issue: SCENARIO: your band are not all Bose converts. You have a hodgepodge of ideas & attitudes on what sounds "good" and the best way to deliver that "good" sound. You, being the convert that you are have an L1/PS1/B1 on your side of the stage as your stage monitor and of course the sound output of that contributes to the air being pushed out of a traditional FOH system. How does one maximize the sound quality in that situation?? When it comes to bands, the PAS ARE BEING USED IN MANNERS THAT WERE NOT INTENDED BY BOSE, and those manners are legitimate to the end user. Oh yeah, here's a preset that I'd like to see: 5 digit Selmer MkVI Tenor sax [or any human voice..]~Neumann U67~classic Neve 1073 mic pre~URIE Blackface 1176 DSP that, would'jya. ok, toughguy...
