Anybody within easy travelling distance of Vancouver BC Canada?

Please chime in here. It might be fun to get together or simply be more aware of L1® folks nearby.

Thanks!

I'm not, but I sure wish I was. Still would like to meet the guy that talked me into getting the L1 and then helped me along the way. Thanks again ST

Surely ST and I aren't the only ones out here. Even if you don't own an L1 (yet), we'd like to know of anyone from the forums who lives in these parts.

I'd love to meet you and play a few tunes and talk about music.

Hi Dennis, (denny_m)

Do you ever get to the coast?

Are you playing with other L1® owners out in Chilliwack?

Just filling in some info from another discussion.

If you are coming in from Chilliwack, it's all the same isn't it?

I hang out all over from White Rock (yeah I know it's really Surrey), to the North Shore. I have a frequent call to go to Coquitlam, but that's about as far East as I generally have to go. I may have something coming up in Aldergrove in a couple of weeks but I'm waiting for confirmation.

Yes I'm a drummer and I also sing. I do a lot of contemporary Christian worship as well as alternative rock lately. I've done everything from Barbershop four part harmony to Jazz to Blues to Orchestral. I really enjoy a wide variety of musical genres. I've covered quite a few bases for my age.

Nice to get to know you.

To anyone still reading... Dennis and I are probably 60-70 miles apart, probably 90-120 minutes depending on traffic.

I had mentioned Aldergrove - and that would be maybe half-way.

ST,

I get out to the coast occasionally. I frequent as far as Langley each month, but I only go right into the city if I have a specific reason. Traffic is usually such a beast.

Since I bought my L1's in April I've been able to use them with about half a dozen different bands. I am the only L1 owner I know of. The reason I bought two full systems was because I really wanted to show people what they could do, but I knew just one system would be too limiting.

So far I've had a lot of success showing people the L1 way of life. Hopefully some of the people I work with on a regular basis will be able to afford systems soon.

The biggest problem I have is feedback. I run my systems pretty hot, and I'm not able to get the vocals up where I want them in the mix without that high pitch squeal. I did some experimenting with one of the gates this week. I don't really understand how to set it properly, but I did have some minor success.

I really enjoy my systems. They've opened a world of opportunities for me. They really do sound fantastic, and they are a joy to play through. Live music- the way it was meant to be.

I know of a couple of fellows who regularly perform in and around Metro Vancouver who have L1®s but who don't spend any time online.

There is another fellow who lives downtown who does not perform live but uses the his L1® in his home studio. I haven't been touch with him lately but I'll see if I can find some contact info so I can ping him.

I think there was someone in Langley or South Surrey. I've also heard of folks up in Kamloops and Kelowna but haven't met them. I haven't seen them here in the message board in a long time.

Anybody else out there?

I know when I was at Long & McQuade last year the guy told me that their rental L1®s were constantly out. So there are even many users out there who don't own.

Hello ST,

I recently moved to Seattle, and would be a driving distance from you. I have 2 L1MII. Hope to meet you some days. Can I contact you by some other means?
