Hi everybody,

I've been working on a new original album for the last year and a half, and it's finally done.

Folks here have been interested in the past in what I do outside of the forum, so I'm letting you know. I appreciate the friends and colleagues I have here.

I haven't been able to write my own music for over 20 years, so you can guess how proud I am of my shiny new baby. It's a mix of folk, country, and rock tunes, with all kinds of themes and moods. One song is about my reflection on 9/11 called "The Sky Is Blue." Another is about middle age called "Won't Grow Old Before My Time." Some of us regulars can relate to that. I even recorded a couple solo acoustic instrumentals that I've been kicking around.

It's on CD Baby and iTunes, and it will be up on all the other digital download services shortly.

I hope you'll give it a listen and make a comment. I humbly submit it up to the universe.

Tom

Congratulations, Tom... Love this Smile I had no idea it was your first album of original material in 20 yrs... Holy cow! I've been aching to write songs forever but have been caught up in my own head about it. Finally am taking songwriting lessons from an awesome guy at Swallow Hill and things are starting to shake loose. I'd love to talk to you sometime about your process... I'll be in touch via fb and see if we can hook up Smile

Excellent Tom! I can't wait to hear it... I think I'll hold out for a signed copy of a "real" CD - kinda old-fashioned that way...

Your updated site looks fresh and great too - what to keep things movin Brother!

My Rivers West compadres are going to record some vocal tracks this evening...

Best luck with your new CD! Mike O'

--- I missed last week's UStream - I assume it was recorded and is available? And what about that "noon" broadcast - has that happened yet?

Mike,

Great to hear from you! I'll send you a signed copy right away. Drop me an email or PM with the address you want it sent to.

The UStream show from last week is recorded and available on UStream - just search for me and you'll see it. Also the noon show is there from earlier as well.
