1. Yamaha S70XS piano-action synthesizer (stereo) 2. Roland BK-7m rhythm/arranger (stereo) 3. 'Announcement' mic connected directly to S70XS with local volume/mute 4. (Optional) Sub outs from L1's connected to ch3 of stereo Roland KC505
STEREO Left channels routed to 1st T1, and right channels routed to 2nd T1. That is, there are 4 audio cables in total (ie L/R x 2), ie use 2 channels per T1. (After reading the forum, and experimenting with other audio setups, it is clear that stereo is much better than mono for pianos, leslie organs, etc)
GENERAL If budget dictated that only one T1 could be purchased, it is possible to route the S70XS through the L/R inputs on the BK-7m and preserve stereo, but would lose the ability to apply EQ/FX individually to the souce instruments.
Another option with just 1 x T1 is to use all channels 1-3 and 4/5 for the 4 audio inputs, and map the right channels to AUX OUT > 2nd L1; but my impression from the User Forum is that if only a single audio cable is input to 4/5, there is a dramatic loss of volume on that channel so the setup is not symmetric. A single T1 setup in stereo also means there would be little expandibility left in the system.
PURCHASE PLAN Initially purchase 1 x L1 M2B1 and 1x T1 and use in mono. After learning the system, make an informed decision about purchasing a 2nd L1 M2B1 for full stereo.
