Quoting JMcGregor from The Sketcher
quote:
Position 1 - multi-instrumentalist. She has no pickups installed.

Primarilyvocals... some percussion and mandolin chop

Taylor 614ce through a baggs para di. sounds great. Mandolin through a Samson condenser

Does have pickups in all instruments.

Bass direct to amp.

First time trying system and had numerous feedback issues. Moved the L1 from center stage to side stage. Helped somewhat.

Should we move L1 to front of stage to reduce feedback?

2. Primarilyvocals... some percussion and mandolin chop.

3. Taylor 614ce through a baggs para di. Mandolin through a Samson condenser

4. Sony condenser for all instruments.

5. Bass direct to amp.

Have used the system for a few gigs with mixed results. I've shifted the stick to the stage with the fewest condernsers in hopes to reduce feedback.

Would we damage our L1 units if we set up trhis way?
We would be using the subs to act as a pedistal to save space.
We are a 4-piece acoustic and electric band. Drums, lead guit, rythym guit and bass.
All of us sing.

This is the set up I just tried in a small room, 250 people. I was not very happy with the sound. Any suggestions

We have a gig in a bigger room shortly. 500 people, with a high stage. I was going to set up as sketch above.
Is this the best configuration?

This looks very much like our room dimensions at the Open Mic, at the Kuhl Tyme Tavern.
Using a single Model II at the last open mic, left keyboardist's vocal too far from the L1
causing some serious eye/ear disconnect.

Hoping this setup with two Compacts will sound more "spatial".

Compact #1 will be Stan, the host, with his acoustic
Compact #2 will be Robert, his keys, vocal, & gtr w/POD, sharing w/drummer's vocal
Sit-ins usually use Stan's guitar and mic, but any mic can suffice.
