This is a "daydream" sketch for Culvert Illusion, a band that I don't, nor probably ever will play with, but it's fun to think about this setup
and how nice it would look.

Most of the guys in this band are from Sundown, the loud band I played in two years ago.
Good musicians, but are always obscured by speakers on sticks, floor monitors, and music stands.
Guitarist also insists on wedge monitors.

Saw them a few weeks back, good music, but the sound was a bit loud and uneven.
Would love to see them with a good clean, clear system.

The mic'd amps and keys are just to show that it could be done with available inputs.
Model II #3 and the Compact would be vocal monitors for systems 1 & 2.

ST, this reinforces my thought that a band this size, who mics the kick, really needs at least 3 full size L1s.
That fact that the "backline" L1 could possibly handle all the monitoring is also a plus.
I just throw in the Compact for extra monitoring since I have them.

Please help! Just bought two L1 model 2 with double bass systems and tonematch. We set it up at home and loved it. We played out with it and hated it. Our issue I think is placement. We are a duo-2 vocals, Taylor guitar, and Motif xs6 full sequences (backing tracks). Most venues we play at are restaurant/bars. We have very limited room-our backs are to the wall and we don't have 8 feet to the left or right of us, maybe 2-3 feet at the most and usually have only room for one tower. We just kept getting feedback from the vocals or if we are able to put them behind us we only have room to put it directly behind us (where I can reach out my hand and touch it)...and we are going deaf when we do that. (We have two Audix OM5s and have used the settings in the tonematch.) Last night at a gig we moved the tower in front of us to save ourselves from losing our job (because of the feedback), but then of course couldn't hear ourselves because we gave up our monitor. We spent a ton of money as you all know and we dread having to go back the old way and re-purchase two speakers and two floor monitors and a mixer so we can avoid feedback and hear ourselves. Heavy as hell but at least we can use floor monitors to hear ourselves without feedback. So disappointed. I don't know how we are going to ship this back. We don't want to "go there" so this forum is a last plea for help. We know that the L1s are awesome, we've seen it and heard it...we've used it where we've had the room and it was amazing but 85% of our jobs don't have the luxury of placement. Please help! I really want to keep them but can't justify the money if almost every job we have is going to be problematic.
