1 nos lead guitar
3 nos keyboards
1 nos African talking drum
A set of drums
A set of conga
I nos Bass guitar
1 nos soprano sax
8 nos singers
6 nos wedge speakers

The down time in set up and "un-set up" of gear takes from 4 hours to eternity & oftentimes with the techies still running around sorting out one horrendous squeak or glitch during a meeting & distracting people. I stumbled on the Bose LI model II with double bass with tone match (my preferred choice) & I believe solution has come. Please can someone advise and show, using the drawing stuff, what solution to deploy assuming I have absolutely nothing. Guys you will be saving a soul here.

I am a solo act.
I sing and play live guitar to midi backup tracks that are played through a Roland Discover 5M which is represented by the keyboard in the diagram. The Roland Discover 5M is basically the guts of a Roland Discover 5 keyboard, without the keyboard.
I feed my guitar into either a Digitech GNX4 or a Boss GT-8.
The Roland Discover 5M also acts as a vocal processor. It provides harmonies and other vocal effects. So my microphone is plugged directly into the Roland Discover 5M. The Discover 5M has separate outputs for the midi music playback and vocals.
What is the best Bose PAS system for me? Can I use just one? I would have three inputs to the Bose PAS. One from the guitar processor, one from the Discover 5M for the midi backing tracks and another one from the Discover 5M for my vocals. I currently run all three in stereo to a Phonic RoadGear 260 Portable PA System. The Bose will not accept Stereo (unless I buy 2) so I guess I will run the inputs to the Bose PAS in mono. Will it sound good in mono? What about stereo effects?

Lead guitar through Fender Vintage Twin 60 watt -Fender Bass through 100 watt system and drums with kick drum miked and second harmony vocalist. We use at the moment the latest Mackie System with two VRM 450 v2 speakers for main vocals and vrm 350 for foldback for vocals . We play in largish halls and up to say 500 people mainly in dance situations so we need lots volume punch and attack on vocals to cut through etc., We play elvis/beatles/stones/cliff&shads/monkees/clapton/kinks etc., etc., We are very interested in the L1 system with the tone engine and the bass box but our worry really is that there will not be the volume there to handle our requirements and wonder if you could maybe come back with some suggestions and thoughts about this. May I thank you in advance for your kindness and help with this. with kind regards sincerely Richard Summersby

The Single will be Acoustic & Electric Blues, orginals & standards [Rolling Stones Muddy Waters etc.], The Duo will feature a female vocalist that specializes with orginals and covers of [Aretha Franklin, Bonnie Raitt, Carol King, Marie Mauldare and Diane Krall!].
Gigs & venues will range from 50 to 250 people! We currwently have a pair of 802's.
Would 2-L! Compacts & a T1 be the way to go?
For the 4 or 5 piece gigs would a line out to power and the 802's or powered Mackie's work?
Or would a single LT1 Model 2, T1, Packlite and 4 to 6 Subs [optional to use depending on the gig]?
Or while they last 2-Lt1 Model 1, 2-B1's, & 1 TI with a small sub mixer for instruments work?

- T1® for System no longer required
- put TC Helicon units inline between microphones (requiring correction) and T1® - no change to Bose equipment required.

Hi,
Tom here from the band Midlife Crisis.
I just purchased two L1-Model 1's with 4 B1's. Wondering the best way to set this up for live performance.

Green #1-lead vocal/rythym guitar
Green #2- bass & keys/ back up vocal
Green #3- lead guitar/ back up vocal
Green #4-drums/ back up vocal

My original thought was to run everything through a mixing board and use the L1's the same as PA speakers. Is there a better way?
being that there are 4 vocals should I run those through a mixer and effects, then the instruments and kick through the L1's?
Note the Bass/ keys guy actally uses those foot pedal things like Geddy Lee from Rush

Please reply as I'm a little confused.
Thanks

We play classic rock with a punch. Web site is www.mlcrocks.net
