One Man band type(Solo) situation using laptop for backing tracks and virtual instruments, playing keys, multiple saxes, and vocals.
Variety of music from backing tracks including easy listening, pop, big band, polkas, jazz, disco, classic rock, motown, country. No metal or rap.
Macbook Pro is used with a Belkin in desk (USB hub(green 4)) The hub is connected to the left USB port closest to the display.
The USB hub connects the following to the Macbook Pro:
1)An Alien Apparatus Show Controller pedal (Green1). This is a Software/USB pedal combo which controls song selection, stop/start, volume, lighting, l yric display, midi effects.
2)An M-audio Axiom 61 controller. It is controlling Apples' Mainstage 2 virtual instruments. These are routed out of the Macbook Pro to 2 of 4 stereo channels of an M-Audio FW410 firewire audio/midi interface.(Green 5)
3) A Griffin Powermate USB knob controller. This controls volume in iTunes for a few songs.
4) A CME USB Widi 8Xa wireless midi interface. A Yamaha WX7 wind midi controller (Green 6) is connected to the CME USB wireless midi interface. The wireless midi is routed to the laptop and then from the laptop to the M-Audio FW410 midi out into a Yamaha VL70m module. (Green 7)
A Voicelive 2 Harmony Pedal is connected by USB to thre USB port on the right side of the MB Pro Laptop.
The Bose T1 Audio Engine is connected by USB to the laptop left USB port closest to me.
A Rolls Midibuddy midi pedal (Green 2)is connected to the Midi in of the M-Audio FW410 midi/audio interface.(Green 5)This changes programs for my wind controller sounds.The FW410 is connected to the FW400 port on the laptop.
The 2 Channels of audio from the VL70m are routed to channels 3-4 on the Yamaha MV802(Green 3)
The FW410 outputs are routed to channels 5-8 on a Yamaha MV802 line mixer (Green 3)
The Tenor, alto, and soprano saxes use the same wireless ART roam one elite mike into T1 channel one
The vocal mike is a wireless Shure Beta 58a or a wireless Crown CM311a routed to the input of the Voicelive 2 and then on to T1 channel 2
The MV802 outputs are summed into channel 3 of the T1. They are volume controlled by a Yamaha FC7 pedal connected to a VCA circuit in the MV802 Line mixer
The laptop is setup from the T1 to send USB to channel 4/5 of the T1
The line mixer, VL70, and wireless receivers, are in a six space rack under my keyboard table.
