A few weeks ago we had a back-and-forth on accordion feedback, and I suggested a bunch of things to try. Did these work for you? Improved performance? Life on stage better now? What happened?

Cliff, Finally getting back to you. Used preset #12 worked very nice, but volume was very minimal. Gain on channel #2 and remote were both straight up at 12 o'clock. Will continue to experiment and inform.
Here's something for you to try: I play accordion in our band, THE Linemen, on a bunch of really interesting tunes: Times They Are A-Chaning (Dylan), Promised Land (Chuck Berry, a sort-of New Orleans groove), Friend of the Devil (Dead), others. All I do is put the instrument's grille up to my vocal mic (SM87, preset 2) and it can be a jet engine if I want. An sm57 will be very cool also. We had a touring sound engineer come in recently to one of our demos, checking out the system. I played this for him and he said this was probably the most impressive of the single demonstrations. (Of course, when he heard the full band, he was even more knocked out). Anyway, you might want to turn the LIMEX off and try this, maybe use the LIMEX for rhythm playing, or maybe bass only (I'm not playing the bass keys in our show) and bring it up to the mic for solos. it really stands out and, even when our band is roaring, I can get more than enough level out of this setup. It also sounds really full and clear. Give 'er a try like this.
One of the problems with a system like the LIMEX is that there are a lot of microphones in the instrument and feedback is a problem as more mics are added. Try the sm57 or 87.
