XLR for instrument

I notice on the L-1 Compact, the only in for instrument is a 1/4". I use a Red-Eye preamp for my instruments, and it has an xlr out. Any comments on this?

Hi Neal,

Thank you for joining the Forum.

You will probably get the best results if you use an XLR to ¼ inch jack Tip-Ring-Sleeve adapter and run into Compact Channel 2.

If your instruments are guitars, then set the ToneMatch® switch should be in the up (ToneMatch®) position. If you are using other instruments you may be happier with the ToneMatch® switch in the down (Line-Level) position.

Does that help?

Here is some more information about the T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine

I did not know they made an adapter for those. I'm using ukes, vocal, flattop and resonator (spanish) guitars. I've never seen an adapter for an xlr to 1/4".
