Hi Yall, i own a L1 mk II with 2b 1's and tonematch. i play electric guitar, sing and run backing tracks through the tonematch. backing tracks are hooked up from a laptop via usb. i have recently been asked to do a recording at a local studio, i would like to run my sound hook up from the tonematch directly to their recording mixing board. with the tonematch powered by the optional power supply, is it safe to hook up the master output to another mixer? or is there another way of hooking up everything up a safer way, should i use different outputs from the tonematch, help please. thanks

Hi canadianmike, I would probably just run a single line out from the T1® Master Output.
Yes, absolutely safe, and this is a fine way to do it.
It would get fairly complicated to try to use different outputs from your T1®. You could run the output of the backing tracks to the T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine Aux Output (follow the link for details), and run the vocals and guitars to the Master Output. I'm not sure if that would really help much. If you were to use the PreAmp outputs for your voice and guitar, there were be no Presets, EQ, or Effects. I would probably just run a single line out from the T1® Master Output. Does that help? ps: ToneMatch® is the name of the technology used in the T1 ToneMatch® Audio Engine

Hi cm, You can use any of the outputs without doing any harm. In studio use, to keep each instrument separate, I'd use the direct outs on chs 1-3, and the Aux out for 4/5 into the studio's console. This leave you with an L1 mix if you need, and the engineer gets full control over the mix he wants.
