Yo Thumper,
I'm a 60 year old leader of two folk bands in Austin. One is a Peter, Paul & Mary tribute group and the other a combination of Kingston Trio and old frontier cowboy songs. All acoustic of course and I guess my question is this: I'm interested in purchasing a system to use in both of these bands usually 3 mics, 2-3 guitars and upright bass has it's own mini-amp. So, when using the T1's reverb can that be accessed when a sub mixer is sending the information to the T1? Also can the T1's reverb be accessed through an effects loop? Hope I'm asking these questions clearly, since I don't own one yet I'm a little in the dark.

Sounds like a lot of fun. You are in good company here.

If you mean: Can I take the output from a sub mixer and route that to the T1® and use the T1® reverb?
— Yes. You can take a line level input and run that to any of the T1® inputs and hear that input with effects at the T1® Master Output.

Yes, if you mean Can I use the T1® like an effects unit for another mixer?

But please understand that the T1® has four separate inputs, but only one output with reverb.

From what I can tell from your questions, you would do well to

  1. Run the three vocal microphones directly to the T1®
  2. If you use 2 guitars and they both have preamps built-in, then you can run these to T1® Channel 4/5

    OR

If you have 3 guitars you could run these to a small sub mixer and take the sub mixer output and run that to T1® Channel 4/5

Did that help?

Stepsons, ST can give you better technical advice more than I can. What I use is a Bose model II with 2 subs and 2 T1 mixers when I have my cajun trio. It gives me enough inputs for all of us and all the effects that the T1 has. You would not need another mixer just for reverb. I would be happy to meet with you and show you/listen to my system. Send me a PM with your phone numbers and we can talk more Thumper
