Well, I bit the bullet.....yesterday I put down my hard earned cash at Seattle's Guitar Center and came home with a single system & bass bin.
Unfortunately, I won't have a chance to use it in a live situation 'till later this month....can't wait.

I have a question and a request:

Question: In the "Preset" list attached to the power unit, there are a lot of empty presets labeled "Future" I presume these presets will be updated via some as yet unknown method once the Bosemen finish the architecture??? How will this be accomplished, and when?? Will there be a specific mic preset for premium condenser stage mics i.e. AKG 535 or AKG C5900, two of my fav's?

Request: A "detailed" list describing the "Presets" that are currently in the PAS and how best to use them.

Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Howard

Hello Howard,

First of all, congratulations on your purchase. We'll all be waiting to hear from you once you fire it up. How was your Guitar Center experience?

Yes, we will eventually have a method for customers upgrading their presets. I don't have a date yet. The method will be through the "data in" jack on the Power Stand, and it will either come straight off your computer through a USB port, or off a CD player with a digital output.

In the meantime, I think if you experiment with your favorite mics -- always starting on preset 00 -- and with the tone controls on the remote control, you will quickly find something you really like.

If you can spare a few minutes, tell us a little more about what you play and the ensembles and gigs you play.

The acoustic bass w/piezo preset is phenomonal.
There's no need for a pre-amp !!!!
Thanks Ken.
