Will be running two L1 Classics, 4 subs, mixer, and a couple of guitar amps for an outdoor gig.

It's a "fly-in" so power will be drawn from 120 AC outlet in a nearby hanger.

I imagine max total wattage will be somewhere around 2000-2500 watts.

Power source is approximately 200'.

What gauge wire should be safe to use for getting the power from the hanger to the stage area without fear of damaging the L1s ?

Hi Jerrold,

I doubt you will damage the Classics in this situation. They will just shut down if the voltage drops too low. That would be unfortunate.

I found a Wire Gauge Calculator and it looks like you would need #8 gauge. But that information is coming from an unofficial source.

You can probably get a better answer if you can find the power draw for all of the other devices that will be on the circuit, and then you ask here:

If the power draw is 2400 W at 120 V, that would be 20 amps, so make sure you've got a circuit that can handle 20 amps (minimum 20 amp breaker) and you probably want to make sure that nothing else is on that circuit.
