I have a set of 802s, a 802 Speaker processor, and a Peavy XRD680 Amp/mixer.

If I connect the system so that the signal goes -

Peavy - Processor - Speakers, the sound is absolutely terrible. However, if I connect the Peavy directly to the speakers, the sound is great.

So the processor is causing the problem.. I noticed on the signal diagram on the top of the processor that it says it should be connected BEFORE the amp..

I'm not sure how I can do this with the Peavy..

If I was to connect the Processor - Peavy - 802s, then I would only have a single input on the processor.

Is there a way I can use the processor and the Peavy amp/mixer together.

Check this link, substitute your processor for the equalizer for mains operation on page 14.

thanks for your reply Oldghm..

However I'm still not completely clear on what to do from that diagram.

It appears that I go mains out - processor - back to PA1 on the Peavy..

I can do this easily enough, however wouldnt this only be outputting a mono signal, as its only one channel?

Hi Captain,

Your mixer/amp is a mono amp so whatever you do will be mono.

If you want to use both amps you can run from the Bose processor back to both PA 1 and PA 2, that will not allow the monitor side to work, but you will be able to run the same signal (Dual Mono) from both amps into two separate speakers.

Does that help?
