I just noticed that my PAS remote has female recepticals on both ends. In testing the "zipper noise" issue, Bose sent me an extra remote and cable, instructing me to keep it as a back up. (Don't you LOVE the service at Bose? - Employees of Bose, members of their immediate family and anyone with an "at Bose' handle are prohibited from answering that question!)

But my real question CAN be answered by you Bose folks.

Since I have two remotes, is there any danger of daisy chaining them? I am guessing that the PAS system will read the first remote and but still accept adjustments from the second (since it is essentially getting a "volume control" event - similar to sending MIDI CTL #7). But if I keep the "linking" remote set to 0, can I use the last remote in the chain to control the system? Or would two remotes be an overload on (or corrupt) the data stream?

TIA!

Michael,

please DO NOT DAISY CHAIN REMOTES.
Sorry, they are really not designed for that and it may cause damage to remote and/or power stand. It will certainly cuase lots of confusion and wouldn't work anyway.

Since I fall outside the above criteria, I will provide an answer of "Oh Yeah"! Bose service is the best on the planet.

Oh yes, Bose service is great! When I first got my unit, there was a small problem that was swapped out so fast I couldn't believe it. Since then, eleven trouble free months with the best sound and portability I could ever ask for. (and its paid for in 1 more month.)

I gotta tell you that I was almost afraid to read this post after looking at the subject line. Wink

Bose definitely ranks as the best in customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. I also had a MINOR problem with one of the bags right after I got my system and they sent out a whole new set of bags and told me to keep the old ones. Wow!
