I just wanted to take time out of my extremely busy schedule to share my persoanl experience with my new L1 Model 2 with Tone Match and Double Bass. I have only had it a little over a month but a lot has happened. First off I have been playing professionally since the age of ten and I am now fifty three. I have owned mutiple high end systems including tri amped large JBL systems along with the large vans to haul all of this ****. This Bose system just blows the competition away when it comes to premium sound reinforcement. I have recorded in sound studios over the years.Today I am hearing this same sound that I use to hear in the studio headphones coming out of this L1 system. It is unbelieveable!!!!!! I was using a Shure Beta 58 with the tone match preset which was great. But I decided to try the Shure KSM 9 mic which has taken the vocals to what I call a studio sound level. I do wish there was a preset for this mic on the tone match because I believe it would make it even better, if thats possible. I am presently using the Shure Beta 87 A preset which is very good for this mic. I had tried the Neuman 105 preset for the KSM9 mic but it just didn't cut it.I am using my DC16 RE Aura Martin guitar directly thru the Bose system. The Tone Match has the preset for my Martin and it is simply amazing. I believe the Tone Match is what makes this whole system superb. I got rid of my Soundcraft board, my Getz Benz guitar amps and the rest of my huge sound system. Sold the van and put all that money in my pocket. Needless to say I had a lot of money left over even after purchasing the Bose system. I have also spoken with tech support a quite a few times with basic questions about the new system. Never once did they say did you read the owners manual because the information is already printed in there. They were just kind, patient and extremely helpful.Quite frankly I am to busy to sit and read instruction manuals to be honest with you. I can't believe I am taking the time to write this post but I felt compelled to give praise when it is do. I also had a problem where I had the Tone Match mounted to my mic stand which by the way is a great feature. The only down side was I pointed the mic down towards the floor when I turned off the system and the mic slipped out of the holder hitting the face of the Tone Match. It crack the clear plastic monitor face and I was devastated. The tone match still worked perfectly but my new system was no longer perfect. Since i am extremely careful with everything I own, I always keep it looking brand new. I decided to call Bose to see what I needed to do to get it repaired. They told me it could take up two weeks for the entire process. To my surprise the Bose rep said he would have it taken care of as a courtesy and I was shocked. I sent it out the same day and they received it with in the two day ups time frame. Bose then emailed me back telling me that they had recievd it and with in one day they emailed me back again stating it was completed and was already in route back to me via UPS. Again, Unbelieveable. I have never in my lifetime dealt with a more professional customer orientd company, never, (and I have dealt with many over the years.) I want to Thank Curtis, Eric and some of the others whose names slip my memory at this time for their outstanding customer support. If you ever had doubts about moving forward with a sound system that is what I believe to be the state of the art today don't think again. I have spent triple on large systems that can't even come close to the studio sound I am getting today.The fact that this great system can fit in the trunk of my Mercedes makes it even more remarkable.
