Am I correct that in interpreting your comments in a previous thread that if the Bose unit is shipped from the Bose distribution center in Arizona to San Diego, CA (a place I like to call home) I can plan on adding another $150 to the price? (7.75% on $2K)

Yes, sales tax is sales tax. Since Bose has a "buisness presence" in Califorina, namely Bose stores, we have to charge sales tax.

Sorry, Uncle Sam needs to get paid too. Or in your case, Uncle Arnold.

Note to Texas musicians: If you are a recording artist, the gear is sales tax-free. Check with the guys at Guitar Center. There's a state form to fill out. Josh at the Austin location took great care of us!

Does Bose only charge sales tax in states in which it has a store (unless the state doesn't have a sales tax)?
