Hi Everyone, First time using this forum. First of all, I've owned my PAS for about two months now and couldn't be happier! I do a solo guitar/vocal act and this system is perfect for what I am doing. Can someone let me know what I need to do to get a B1 bag? I registed my system when I bought it but am not sure if I need to do something else to have a bag sent out. Thanks and I look forward to working with Bose in the months to come!

Steve At Bose,

As you said . . . it's true that when special offers come out, there will always be disappointment for the people that just missed the deal. But what companies sometimes do to soothe that disappointment is to allow people who just missed the deal to get in on it anyway, usually within a reasonable time limit.

What I would like to suggest is that, for people who purchased their PAS recently, who are still on their Trial Period, that they be allowed to get the benefit of the bag deal. This seems like a fair cut-off point, and this policy would make people who recently purchased the system not feel disappointed that they had just missed out on a good thing.

I called the phone number you recommended in your previous post, and shared my suggestion with the tech guy who answered the phone. Unfortunately, he said that the current policy on the special offer would not extend back to people still on their trial period.
He also said there were limited numbers of bag sets available, and that the ones that existed may all be needed for the sales promotion.

Regards the last point . . . being a PAS owner who is still on his Trial Period, if it were possible to get a bag set on the special offer, I would certainly not mind waiting until after the promotion to receive it. And, if there were not enough remaining sets available at that time, I would understand and accept that situation.

I must chime in here as well! I would really like these deluxe bags. I have to dig up my receipt, and I hope I see an August date! My bandmate will be purchasing hers soon, and we could use the wheels and backpack, especially!

Ah, I see that I bought in the last week of July. I too would have waited had I known something of such value would be included!

Hi Steve:

I really love the boss system. But I think it is really unfair for people such as my self that bought the double bass package and not be able to get the new bags. I already had a functional sound system but was really impressed with the bose system. Is there any way to get a discount on the new bags? The bags are $199 + $74 per bass bag? Very steep!!
I will buy any new additions to the system but not the bags.

Hello everyone,

First things first. If you are still in the trail period we will honor the promotion and send you deluxe bags (it may take a few weeks though). Please have your order info and serial numbers ready and call 877-335-2637.

Rodger Windsor, I'm not sure who you talked with at Bose, but please call the number above and they will take care of you.

mbanshee, same for you, please call the number above.

long time customers, here's an update on the deluxe bags:

After a short conversation with our director, we are going to make the deluxe bags available at a very reduced price (Don't pick up the phone yet!!! Please keep reading!!).

I don't have exact pricing yet, but the price for a PS1 kit plus a B1 (like in the photo) will be close to $99.

Pricing is NOT in the computer yet so if you call today, the phone folks will say "it says here they are $199 and $74".

Please keep an eye out here for when we'll be ready. We did not order enough supply on the bags to fulfill demand (I'm pretty sure) so it may take a while to get these to you. We really did not anticipate the desire.

The reduced price offer will run for a limited time (probably through the end of the month) so keep checking the board for an update. My goal is to have pricing in the system by early next week.

Stay tuned ...

Keep us posted Steve. I called today and they don't know about any special pricing on the gig bags yet. I'll be checking your site to place my order.

By the way, the system continues to be fantastic in my keyboard and vocal performances.

Steve - will this relaxing of the dates apply to Guitar Center purchases also. As I said in an earlier post, GC knew nothing about this when I made the purcahse on 7/31!! and then picked it up from another store on 8/2. GC may have us do a return and repurchase in their system just to get the date right, but if they don't will I be able to call Bose and do as the others above?

Reveler and others,

Do not check the web site for the special pricing, it may never exist on the web site, we're still working out those details. Please come back to the forum for updates. This is the home for news flashes, not the formal web site.

Hello to all,

I've been in New York for the past week and was surprised at the amount of responses to this post when I returned.

Steve-at-Bose, thanks for the kind words. I didn't realize that all of this would result in such a "family feud" but I figured that Bose would step up and take care of the long time customers, especially the contributors to this forum. As I've said before, the level of customer service that Bose has demonstrated toward the PAS has been outstanding and unmatched. I think that offering the deluxe bags including the B1 for around $99 to the long time customers would be a reasonable compromise to the situation and would satisfy most of the "veterans". It would certainly make the month long deluxe bag give-a-way more palatable.

By the way Steve, I just got the PODxt Pro but haven't had the time to program it and try it with the PAS. I can't wait to hear it Big Grin. I'll post a review in the Line 6 section in the future.

Thanks to all who shared their opinions and concerns regarding the deluxe bag issue and thanks to Bose for responding in such a positive and timely manner...that's what makes this forum so invaluable.

As an afterthought, I wonder what will happen when Bose releases the new 1500 watt, four channel remote, 4 XLR input, onboard effects, 4 B1 capable...etc...PAS? A mutiny?

Steve - I certainly have learned the value of quiet patience here on the forum! Smile And I t always seems to pay off. Thank you for your consideration of early adoptees regarding the deluxe bags - certainly a price point that should make anyone happy!

Hi, guys. I bought my PAS system back in Dec. '03 to use primarily as my bass amp. Over the last few months I've convinced my smooth jazz trio to use my PAS as a mini-PA system on small to medium-sized gigs. It has worked with success, and finally I have convinced my bandleader and guitarist to get his own PAS system. He bought one last week at the Guitar Center in Orlando. Apparently, his procrastination paid off because he's getting these cool better bags for free! My issue is this: I'm responsible for his purchase and I'd like to know if you good people can do anything to reward me for converting another oft-working musician to the Bose way of thinking. How about new bags as a referral gift? My birthday is August 22! Thanks.

Well Ive cooled off now ( sorry about my last posting to Kyle and all the follow Bose owners) but I have been a loyal Bose fan for a while. Own a set of 501 and 201 I use for my system at home. When Bose came out with this I knew it was going to be good. I tryed one and got it that day. It not the fact I would never stop using Bose ( that a joke in itself) but the bags are GREAT LOOKING!!!! I know of 3 maybe even 4 people that heard my system and went out and got them one ( should charge G.C. for comission!!!). It just seems that when you go out and spend good money for somthing it never seem to fail somthing better comes along for the same company and to get it you have to pay more!!!! Come on guys give the faithfull a break!! After all we work for a living too.
P.S. yes Kyle, I do like the new bags!!!!

Dear Good Folks at Bose:

I think the offer for heavily discounted Deluxe Bags is a fair move on Bose's part (for prior customers), but what about us folks that bought the full system with two B1's? $99 seems like a fair deal for the basic set, but does that mean we "full system" clients have to shell out $75 more bucks for another deluxe B1 bag?? How about a carrot for those of us with a full system?
