Dear L1 Community: Last January at the NAMM show in Los Angeles, Eve-at-Bose and I interviewed a number of industry leaders who worked on ToneMatch™ presets with us for their microphones and instruments. The interviews were fascinating and informative. Over the coming weeks, we'll be making these interviews available in chapterized form on the L1 wiki. Here is a list of the individuals and their companies. Hyperlinked text below means the videos are finished and can be viewed.
In addition to interviews with these partners, I sat for an interview. You can watch that by clicking on the link below. edited by Forum-Admin - new link for Rick Hall - Ovation / Michael Markure - Takamine Interview [Ken-at-Bose added link to John Hall interview.]This message has been edited. Hi Folks, We've just added another interview to the wiki, this time with me. You can get the Bose perspective on ToneMatch technology, and our work with our parnters, by watching. Sometimes, it's so hard to watch/hear yourself. In this case, I think I said what I wanted to say and so I am happy. Ken

Ken - Thanks for Ned's interview series. I have one of Ned's creations, the WAV4 EUB. It's a new member of my music family and I use it with the L1 Classic system and a T1. I must say, I certainly appreciate the NS-Design presets in the T1! They do allow for a quick and easy way to taylor your sounds with an electric instrument. Since I am a relatively new "electric" musician, I can't comment a lot about the flexiblity that e-musicians like to have, as referenced in Ned's interview. But, coming from the acoustic side of the family, I can honestly say I still love the acoustic sounds of my upright bass and enjoy them each time I play it. To get something close to the sound of my acoustic upright, with my WAV4, is a pretty awesome thing in my mind. I truly love playing it and dialing in "my sound" with the T1. Will it ever replace my old acoustic upright??? I doubt it...but who knows what the next generation of amplification and "electric" instruments will bring. If someone ever re-creates that real "woody" sound with an "electric" instrument....oh boy....I'm there! JohnThis message has been edited. Last edited by: JohnNell,

Hi Ken, Thanks for this interview of with Ned Steinberger. Like John (above) I have one of Ned's creations and although nearly 20 years old now, it is still a stunning testament to design and innovation. I have seen several interviews with Ned and I have enjoyed his matter of fact way of approaching things in unconventional ways. This latest interview that you posted is among the very best. Thank you. To all - Ned Steinberger Interview.
