Thanks Focus Player ...really wish you could be there... just a little bit of a drive from East Tennessee 'eh... So now we just have to establish a date for the event... However, we may not be able to do that until Brock and Teresa, the leaders of the Big Sur Natives, get back from New Zealand in mid-March... The studio is guaranteed for the Bose-O's west gathering when together we lock down a date based on our various Spring schedules. So which Bose-O's are planning to come West, South, North, or whatever to be part of this..?? ST... are you gonna make it Ciao, the Joseph

Oh Joseph, The pictures are great and the thought of drivin' down the coast for a party (it would be a party right?) is incredibly alluring. It really depends on the dates.

Joseph, Mid March sounds good, I got some interest from my other band members, so there's a chance that all the UNMENTIONABLES could make it down. No gigs lined up right now for Mid/late March, we'll try to keep it that way. Jeff www.theunmentionables.com

Keep me posted too so I can adjust my schedule accordingly! Dean Randall Bose Assisted Direct Sales Representative - Phoenix, AZ "The Groove Merchants" www.groovemerchants.com "Late Harvest" www.lateharvestjazz.com

Those photos are outrageous~~ so that's the studio I've heard so much about. Only I heard there were monster drapes on one side that the dancer's hid behind and then came out after the music started for their individual performances~~ Also that everyone sat on the floor in a circle around the dancers. And the drummers, the musician's and their five Bose systems were on the other side of the studio?? Hey Dean~~I went to your cool website~~a horn band!! Wow, that's pretty rare in this day and age to find horns in a band. If you come over from Phoenix would you bring your horn?? And are you really considering making that long trip? I know, I'm always full of question~~ I guess I always will be~~(No apologies for being me

It looks like it's leaning toward Mid-April for establishing a Bose-O's west gathering date... so maybe those who are planning to make it can take a peek at their calendars and share when they might be available... I will be getting together this Monday night (Jan. 30th) with some of the Big Sur Natives to talk about the gathering amongst other things ... so I should know more in a few days. ST... a party atmosphere yes, however there should be some fun performances coming from some of us Bose-O's. Ciao, the Joseph

Just got back from meeting with some of the Big Sur Natives and the owner of the Hidden Barn. They are all very enthused about the Bose-O's West gathering here in Big Sur come mid-April Okay... all eyes and ears open... April 17th... on a Monday night?? Will this date work for everyone planning to come... Ciao, the Joseph
|
Well, let me be the first to rain on that date. Unforutnately, April is a tough month for me. Oh well, I'll be there in spirit for sure! Steve
|
Thanks Joseph, Checking with my wranglers to see if I can move some things. In Microsoft Outlook - that appears to be Easter Monday if it matters to anyone. Steve - it wouldn't be the same without you. P S Joseph - nice pic.
|
You're right ST... We totally spaced on the fact that this the day after Easter Sunday weekend... that is truly a dedicated family gathering, potentially energy draining period ... back to the drawing board. Maybe the very next Monday, the 24th... how's that
|
Joseph, Do the Big Sur Natives have something against weekends? I don't mind leaving Monday open for a travel day, but some of us "9 to 5"ers might find it a little tough to return home mid week considering the miles involved. I understand that many of you depend on the weekend income from gigging. I'm a day gig kinda guy, music is just passionate hobby. I was just curious about the Monday thing, seems like a wierd night for a party. Jeff www.theunmentionables.com
|
Jeff... Right now I'm feeling bad... because I really want you to be there when we do have the Bose-O's West gathering... The only reason we are thinking about a Monday night is simply because that's when the Big Sur Natives are always guaranteed use of the huge studio. We, the musician's and female dancers, meet there every Monday night almost all year long to rehearse and choreograph. It's habitually ingrained... However I so agree, that it may not be the best day of the week to have a gathering for folk coming to such an obscure location from afar ... so Mondays are definitely not sacrosanct... Tomorrow, I will be meeting Ken-at-Bose in Big Sur and we'll drive together up to the Hidden Barn. We'll discuss when might be the best time for all involved and hopefully also meet up with the owner... Thanks very much for responding Jeff... and please, would anybody else planning on coming to the Bose-O's West event tell us 'when' might be best for you?? Is all of April simply out of the question for you... Steve-at-Bose? Ciao, the Joseph
