Question:
This is a poll set up for the Bose-O's West who are thinking about coming to the gathering in Big Sur... it's important, in that we need to start coming up with some sort of estimate ...

We know that many may not be able to vote until the finalized date is given. However, if you do know of your status in relaton to the Big Sur gathering, please share it with us by voting.

Thanks...

Choices:
I00%... for sure coming to Big Sur
75% ... almost there
50% ... maybe
25% ... slim chance
00% ... sorry, cannot make it

Am in negotiations with my wife...she loves the idea of a (even Bose related) vacation, but she really wants to go East. We have been talking about an east coast trip for some time, since we've been south and west, but the Big Sur thing sounds so beautiful, it's hard to pass up.

What do they say about married folks taking separate vacations?

We'll be on the east side of Highway 1. Does that count?

You can go to the East Coast any time. You never know when California might fall into the ocean. This could very well be your last opportunity to come to Big Sur. Razz

Or California could fall into the ocean on April 25th. Eek

Or as Mickey Newbury once said in a song the rest of America falls into the ocean and California's left!! Smile

Hi all,

I've had a few requests from people who are working out details.

They want to know who is coming.

SO

If you know you're coming - or - are trying to work it out. Please drop a quickie post and let us know. The numbers are okay, but knowing the names may help others to decide.

I'm the 25% (slim) vote. The better half is balking at 2 days of hanging with "musicians in bandland"! That's how she describes me on the day of a gig.

I'm trying to sweeten the deal.

Come early and/or stay late. There's so much to do, and I know there'll be several significant others who may not be thinking 16+ hours of Bose per day is the best use of time. (Go figure.)

I myself am determined to spend some time hiking and checking out some of the other attractions. I hope to be a tourist all day Sunday and maybe Tuesday morning.

You're smart Alan~~Big Sur is so incredible, you've got to take time out from the Bose-O's to check out it's beauty. And ya know, there are so many breath-takingly beautiful spots that there's no way you'll be able to see them all at one time.

So plan to go again and again once you become a little more familiar with Big Sur's lay out~~I think Big Sur is probably a prototype for Heaven~~or Nirvana!

Saxhound! My wife is saying the same thing!

Maybe they will meet, hit it off, and care less what we all do. They are both illinois girls. All the wives will have something in common and be able to commiserate about our Bose obsessions. (Just don't show them the pics of the Big Sur Native dancers!)

So, I am scheduling flights and Ford Explorer to get up the dirt road to the studio.

I'm in!

I laughed so hard when I read that~~dude, you don't know the half of it~~and to experience them live & in person~~whool dude!! that's a whole other story Eek

So what's the deal~~ are all the Native girls gonna be there or just a few? Obviously, it's a gathering of Bose-O's~~not a big crowd I would guess? But a very cool crowd~~

Oh~~more photos~~more photos~~please, please & pretty please Big Grin

Yeah, it's sorta the wife stuff for me too since we'd have to fly in/out of different airports or drive up from So CA. We have so little time together lately with my current east/west commute that I try to be a sensitive spouse. BUT, we're talking about one helluva safari here plus I gotta ton of frequent flyer points and the dates fall right in line with my work schedule! Decisions, decisions...

Any input from the Bose folks and/or other "attached" groupies would be very helpful.

Up Late after an almost nighter Jamming/rehearsing with friends~~sitting here exhausted, thinking about how fun the Bose-O's West gathering will be~~is everyone planning on playing or just hanging out? Are all the Natives going to be performing there or just a few?

Over here on the West Cost it's almost three in the morning~~Yawnnnnnning~~I noticed ST is here~~Asat and a couple others~~what's the time difference between Vancouver and California? Are you guys considering the jet lag issue? Roll Eyes

Yawn~~okay, what else is new in the forum~~ Confused
