I just moved all my Line 6 software to a new computer. I'd seen the Gearbox software before in the Line 6 Monkey but paid it no mind because I'm already inundated with tone choices with Line 6 Edit and Variax Workbench and all those wonderful bundles and patches available.

This time I had Road Runner, so I downloaded Gearbox. I guess it's free with a podXt Live purchase. I haven't messed with the program yet, but it comes with 550 patches, some that need model packs. There were patches for vocals, clean sounds, heavy sounds, and bass as well. Tried a few of them today and was amazed by the "oomph" of these new patches - the EVH Brown was probably the most fun of the few I loaded on my podXt Live. Ran through "My Sharona" with a MIDI and just ruined my ears for the day.....
