Gotta POD XT Pro, try this...Go ![]() | New ![]() | Find ![]() | Notify ![]() | Tools ![]() | Reply ![]()
Not related to Bose but if you own/use an XT Pro and you have another guitar amp modeller laying around, you owe it to yourself to try this. Perhaps ST could help illustrate a graphic for this connection idea too? Take the "dry guitar" output from the XT Pro - run that into whatever 2nd guitar amp modeller you have laying around and return those outputs to the efx loop return of the XT Pro. Use the parallel efx loop configuration in the XT patch and you will now be able to mix the tones together into the the XT Pro final output. With a little tweaking you'll be able to get either/or a blend of the two amp sims. I think it's pretty cool and worth experimenting with if you have a couple favorite tones in another amp modeller that you would like to keep using. Also, blending two modelled amp tones is very much what Vetta users have been doing for a while. So far I've tried it with my other XT Pro as well as an old DG Stomp. Using a MIDI cable running out of the "Host XT Pro" you can get program changes and volume control for both processors via the FBV/shortboard. In fact, I'm gonna mount my old DG in the back of my XT Pro rack and just let it live there as a poor man's "dual processor" amp modeller configuration. Give it a try with another amp modeller you may have available!
