I've been trying for a while to talk my guitarist/wife into a pod xt. Even though I offered to pay for it!
The reason she was resistant is that she already owns a half stack mashall with head, and a chamealon processor ( which she never really learned to use right because the instructions were writting in super nerd tech), and she did not want to waste any more money on gadgets that wouldn't do the trick. we were just using pedals which sounded great, but there was buzz and she kept complaining about certain aspects of her sound. So, she finally agreed to let me buy her one. OMG, it sounds so sweet right out of the box. We were playing songs with stock patches within minutes of adjusting gain and volume levels. I thought for sure it would turn into my worst nightmare, and I would have to learn how to twiddle with it, or that we would have to go through all this complicated setup to get it going like some of her other stuff. Not the case this thing rocks, now we have pro sound on guitar as well as bass and vocals. Pretty soon the drummer is getting a roland E kit, o it will be sweet. |
